Our Inspiration

XRP Wall was born from a simple idea: to demonstrate how seamless it can be for anyone to pay with XRP on the XRPL without relying on a merchant account, credit card processor, or bank. In today’s world, most online advertising platforms require multiple middlemen—payment gateways, merchant accounts, and banking rails—which add both time and fees.

We looked at classic web experiments for creative inspiration. One of the biggest influences was The Million Dollar Homepage, where people bought pixel blocks to display their ads. That project showed how a simple grid of purchased pixels could go viral. We wanted to bring that concept into the XRP ecosystem—permissionless, open-access, and truly decentralized. That vision led us to create XRP Wall.

By leveraging XAMAN (formerly XUMM) wallets, we strip away those layers. A HODL’r can click a few blocks, scan a QR code, and immediately broadcast their transaction on the XRPL. No KYC. No merchant fees. Just direct, peer-to-peer payment with XRP. That simplicity and transparency inspired everything you see here.

We aimed to bring something fun and interactive to the community while showcasing a real utility for XRP on the XRPL.

Our Purpose

At its core, XRP Wall serves two goals:

  1. Showcase XRPL’s decentralized payment power.
    By enabling advertisers—whom we lovingly call HODL’rs—to pay directly in XRP, we spotlight the ease and speed of transacting on the XRP Ledger. There’s no merchant account or bank needed. If you hold XRP and run a compatible wallet, you can advertise immediately.
  2. Give HODL’rs a space to celebrate their support.
    Our community is full of passionate supporters who believe in XRP’s utility. Here, HODL’rs can design and display their own ad blocks—each block is a 10×10 pixel square—forming larger canvases that shout, “We believe in XRP!” Every ad is living proof that XRP is more than just a speculative asset: it’s a payment tool, a creative outlet, and a bridge to new use cases.

How It Works, at a Glance

  • Select your blocks: Click or drag on the 100×100 grid to choose a perfect rectangle of blocks. Each block represents a 10×10 pixel square in your final design.
  • Pay in XRP: Once you’ve finalized your blocks, click “Proceed to Payment” to generate a XAMAN (formerly XUMM) transaction. You’ll see:
    • A QR code to scan with XAMAN.
    • A “Pay with XAMAN” button—clicking it opens XAMAN in your browser or app.
    • The exact cost in USD and the equivalent in XRP at the time of payment.
  • Upload & crop: After payment completes, upload your image. We automatically suggest the correct dimensions (blocks × 10 px), and you can fine-tune the crop.
  • Add links & HODL’r info: Provide a “HODL’r Since” year to show how long you’ve been part of the XRP family. You can also include your website, social handles, and—optionally—an XRPL transaction link so visitors can verify on the ledger.
  • Go live & share: Your ad appears instantly on the wall. We display a confetti animation and buttons to share on Twitter, Telegram, Facebook, and LinkedIn. Every ad also has a dedicated landing page at view_ad.php?ref=PAYMENT_ID, showing your full-screen design, HODL’r info, and share links.
